Wolves, social animals that they are, can coexist with humans in a mutually rewarding way. This is even more true of a VKC Wolf because they have all the same social behaviors of the VKC Dogs.

The VKC Black Wolf will be available in world for a limited time (three weeks surrounding Halloween). If you wish to give the black wolf as a gift during the time he is available in world, please bring your friend to a VKC Dog Park and give him or her the money to adopt one. After Halloween is past, the black wolf will be available on the Marketplace.

The VKC Grey Wolf is available in world and on Marketplace. If you wish to give a give a grey wolf as a gift, you may send one from the Marketplace.

Please remember: the VKC wolves are NOT transferable.

  • Other Activities: go, run, on, greet, get (These require you to name a destination or an object; for example, "Fido go Sandry" or "Fido run redball" or "Fido greet Bichon")

Special Poses

When petting this animal, the avatar approaches slowly and carefully, extending his hand for the wolf to sniff it. When the wolf relaxes, the avatar approaches more closely and caresses him along the ruff of his neck.

The following poses add liveliness and charm to tricks you teach your dog. They must be used with the command pose. For example, to get the dog to bow down in the play pose, you would say, "Lobo pose play2".

  • beg2, beg3 (slight variations of the beg pose)
  • bellyup2, bellyup3 (similar to bellyup but dog holds his head and tail in different positions)
  • down2, down3, down4, down5, down6, down7, down8 (slight variations of the down position)
  • drop (pose to drop a toy or other object from his mouth)
  • lean (sits and leans to the left)
  • play, play2 (slight variations of the play bow)
  • rise, leap, land (this is a trio of poses that are part of the instinct pounce)
  • sit2, sit3, sit4, sit5 (slight variations of the sit pose)
  • smell (stretches out to sniff something, for example, a hand)
  • stand2, stand3, stand4, stand5 (slight variations of the stand pose)
  • touch1, touch2 (places paw out, as in to touch a small object)
  • tummy (legs stretched out while on the ground)
